Nobody knows what happened, nobody is sane enough to recall, but of course the world has permanently changed for the worse.

Life was peachy until

The Great Sleeplessness

Now the world is a grey wasteland of black dust and the long dead, cold ruins and abstract abominations. Those that survived were undoubtedly traumatized, forever mutated or eternally disturbed.

But life goes on just infinitely pale and nature persists just tinted black, as such food or water is of no consequence but the main alien of the new dead world is a mental, cerebral one.

They can only permanently kill you

When you fail to sleep

From the mind of Jayden Desveaux and inspired by the video game Don’t Starve, the drawings of Jhonen Vasquez and the album art on Korn CDs, I’ll-Sleep-When-I’m-Dead is a Mork Borg hack designed around solo play and infinite dungeon crawling to hopefully avoid going insane but this is a fate inevitable anyways. 

The setting is solo gameplay first, it is not entirely designed for groups or large, grand plots but can have them with enough creativity, otherwise just depart into crumbling orphanages and fight back aberrations of your own mind in this psychological horror rogue-like RPG!

I.S.W.I.D Light edition can be downloaded for free, though it lacks leveling up, feats or magic powers.
